Manyatta is located approx. 5 kms south of Usa River town and the main Arusha – Moshi road. Usa River lies equidistant between Kilimanjaro Airport and Arusha city, affording easy access from abroad.
Access to the estate is by a 5 km well-maintained murram road, which leads off the highway running from Arusha to Moshi (please see map below).
Directions to Manyatta
From Arusha:
Take the 'Arusha-Moshi' highway east towards Usa River for 20 kms. Continue through Usa River and on your right you will see a sign for Manyatta Tanzania turning in to Nelson Mandella Road. Follow the signs from here.
From Kilimanjaro International Airport:
Take the 'Moshi-Arusha' road west towards Arusha. Approximately 20 km from the airport is the small town of Usa River. Turn left at the sign post for Manyatta Tanzania turning in to Nelson Mandela Road. Follow the signs from here.
After turning-off the highway:
- Follow the dirt road for 1 km till you reach a sharp right bend in the road. Cross a bridge and you will shortly see a sign for Manyatta Tanzania on your left.
- Take this left and continue straight along this road for 5 kms and you will arrive at the Manyatta Gate.
- You will pass by Kennedy House School, drive though the neighbouring avocado estates

The sun shines every day at Manyatta, even during the rainy season. We will have a few hours of rain and at some point the clouds burn off and the sun comes through. We have the most wonderful climate on Manyatta.
